Day 3: Support the Family
Yesterday was one of the most God-glorifying events I have ever experienced: the funeral of Steph’s Grandma Hueni. The Gospel was preached, hymns were sung at high-decibels, tears were cried, and Jesus Christ was proclaimed.
The giving task for the day was to try and find ways to support the family. To be honest, it was really hard and I didn’t DO much. However, being given this task for the day helped me have a mindset of serving. I hung up some coats, parked the car, found people by themselves to talk to, and prayed silently for the husband and children of Grandma Hueni.
This family has taught me so much about giving NOT because it is the right thing to do, but because of what my Savior has already done for me.

Day 4: Meet Caedmon Webb
Steph and I were excited about church this morning for many reasons. One reason was to meet Mr. Caedmon Webb, who was recently adopted from Ethiopia. Jason and Stephanie Webb attend the same church as Steph’s parents. Jason is a pastor at the church. They have been a great encouragement to us in our adoption. We gave them a small gift card as a way to appreciate and encourage them.
