Today’s task was to send my Granny Flamm flowers, but this post is really about two grandmas’. This week my wife’s Grandma Hueni passed away after a decade long battle with Alzheimer’s. Her funeral will be held tomorrow and it will be a time to celebrate a life lived for God and for her family. This week I have been thinking a lot about my only surviving grandparent, Granny Flamm. Granny is a simple and joyous woman. She’s never had much in the way of possessions. In fact a few years back they sold her house for $3,000. I haven’t seen her in quite a few years. What I wouldn’t give right now to be playing her in a game of Pollyanna.
Today was the first day I think I’ve ever sent flowers to my Granny. I hope she enjoys the surprise!
