The first day of the challenge was yesterday, April 26th. I found this piece of paper on the kitchen counter.
What I did:
Last night Steph and I went to our friends’ and neighbors’ house and took their dog Charlie on a walk. We also gave them some dog treat samples my wife had gotten in the mail free. Simple enough, right?! What we didn’t know was that our friends had been sick for the past few days, thus the dog hadn’t been on a walk in a while and was getting antsy. When we walked in the door and I asked Charlie (the dog) if he wanted to go for a walk. He immediately started wagging his tail and jumping on me. I could barely get the leash on him he was so excited. We had a blast running around the neighborhood and peeing on every fire hydrant (Charlie, not me).
What I learned:
You never know what simple act might be a blessing. When Steph set this up she didn’t know our friends were sick. The simple act of asking if we could walk the dog was a blessing to them and a lot of fun for us.
